Congratulations, MIDS Graduates!

April 24, 2026

Congratulations to our recent graduates from the Microbiology and Immunology Departments (MID) Scholars Program: Maysoon Idrees (Michael Morowitz Lab), Kenny Feng (Alok Joglekar Lab), and Sandra Umana (Melissa Kane Lab).

A joint program between the Department of Microbiology & Molecular Genetics and the Department of Immunology, MIDS provides hands-on research opportunities to undergraduate students who haven't previously considered careers in science or had opportunities for research. Since 2020, 19 students have graduated from the program, and almost all are now pursuing careers in science.

If you would like to support a MIDS scholar, you can give to the program here.
