Research Interests
- Graduated with a Business Accounting Degree in 1999 at the University of Pittsburgh, with a minor in Civil Engineering.
- Worked at Pitt since 1999 performing Research Accounting, Pre and Post Award Grant Administration, Visa, Human Resources.
- Current Responsibilities: HR Manager for the Department of Immunology, and Assistant Department Administrator. Specifically serves in an advanced administrative professional capacity as Associate to the Department Administrator. The Associate is responsible for all human resource actions for faculty, staff, post docs, graduate students, research fellows, temporary employees and undergraduate students. This includes all employee actions from hiring, promotions, reappointments, foreign national visas, FMLAs/leaves, disciplinary actions and terminations. The Associate is the first point of contact for the Dean’s office, Compensation, Recruitment, OIS, Graduate Student Office, Office of Academic Careers, Employee Relations and All-Temps. The Associate advises faculty and works with them directly in any employee action for their respective labs; performs complex reports and analyses to ensure equity in salaries for the Department; develops processes and procedures based on University guidelines and systems; responsible for all payroll actions; communicates all relevant information to the department. The Associate supports the Department Administrator and provides backup when needed. The Associate supports and trains all other Administrators in the department.
