New research sheds light on how a single overactive enzyme can throw the immune system into disarray in a mouse model of activated PI3K delta syndrome (APDS), a rare inherited immunodeficiency characterized by recurrent respiratory infections, chronic viral infections, and swollen lymph nodes.
